13 Days Northern Circuit Safari
Experience the big five areas of Tanzania in 13 days safari. Start with Tarangire National Park, Lake Eyasi, Serengeti National Park and then Ngorongoro crater and to top up your Package visit lake Natron. All the parks are home to small and large animals including birds and reptiles.
Day 1: Arrive Arusha Tanzania
Arrive at Kilimanjaro international airport and transfer to the lodge in Arusha for dinner and overnight. Although most flights lands at Kilimanjaro airport after sunset, we may say, the snow of Kilimanjaro will cross your mind as you journey the short distance from the airport to your hotel.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart from your lodge to Tarangire National Park game drive where you’ll see the African wilderness as the early explorers did with crowds. One of the best experiences on the northern circuit to see elephants, Tarangire’s wildlife population includes herds of Zebra, Jackals, Giraffe, Gazelle and Buffalo. Arrive your safari lodge in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive into landscape dotted with baobab trees and umbrella throne acacias. Stop at the picnic site for picnic lunch. Continue for evening game drive, then drive back for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Manayara National Park
After your breakfast depart from your lodge to Lake Manyara National Park for game drive. Enter the great Rift Valley and Manyara National Park. The lake’s water sustains a bountiful avian population, including Flamingos, as well as numerous pods of hippos. Stop for picnic lunch continue game drive, in the evening return for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Eyasi
After break drive from Karatu to Lake Eyasi. Meet your locals guides here for briefing activities and schedule. After briefing, visit the Datoga black smith. Learn how to make jewelry, arrows, tools etc. visit the Datoga family group, tour traditional homes, grind maize, build livestock hedge, talk to the women ( through translator) and learn about traditional dress.

Day 5: Lake Eyasi culture (Hadzabe / bushmen tribe tour)
Wake up early for a pre-sunrise breakfast. Drive from the camp for approx. 20 minutes to locate the nomadic bushmen ( Hadzabe). In the company of the bushmen, you will hunt on foot using traditional weapons i.e bow and arrows. The bushmen are related to the Kalahari bushmen of South Africa. They speak the same click language but do not understand each other, as they have been apart fro very long. The bushmen live a medieval kind of lifestyle. They do not build permanent homes but follow animals in the area as they trap and kill them for food. They are hunters and gatherers. After abrief hunting stint with the bushmen, we go back to our vehicles and drive to a camp for lunch.

Day 6: Ngorongoro crater
After breakfast, drive from Lake Eyasi to Ngorongoro and decent into the crater floor with your lunch box for game viewing. The famous Ngorongoro crater is rich in wildlife, each species has their territories. Stop for picnic lunch which will be served on the crater floor at the picnic site near Lerai forest/ hippo pool. Ascend the crater and drive to your lodge / campssite for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Ndutu- Serengeti
After breakfast depart from your lodge to Ndutu. Ndutu situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area, part of the southern Serengeti eco-system for game drive. It is your option either you pass by Olduvai Gorge a historical site whereby the early man lived and can also pass by the Masai if you are interested for a real African life and culture. Stop for lunch at the picnic area. Drive to Serengeti with game en-route for dinner and overnight.

Day 8&9: Central Serengeti- Northern Serengeti National Park
Early morning game drives in the park. Full cage game drive in the Serengeti endless plains. Serengeti is perhaps well- known for the annual migration that takes place across the great savannah plains. This is a phenomenal sight: thousand upon thousands of animals particularly wildebeests as far as the eye can see. During the raining season ( November to May), the wildebeest, whose pollution has been estimated at around 1’500’000, are found in the eastern section of the Serengeti and also the Masai Mara in Northern Kenya.When the dry season begins at the end of June, the annual migration commences as the animals move in search of food pasture. Return to the lodge for breakfast. After your breakfast, depart with picnic lunch to Northern Serengeti, break lunch will be served at the picnic area. Afternoon game drives incentral Serengeti area following the wildebeest movement.

Day 10: Serengeti -Lake Natron
Drive slowly from Serengeti heading to Lake Natron and start exploration inside Tanzania, driving along the Rift Valley to the shores of lake natron. The Lake is in northern Tanzania onthe border with Kenya, lying in the East Africa Rift Valley system, 70 miles (113km) northwest of Arusha. The Lake is 35miles ( 56km ) long and 15miles ( 24km) wide and contains salt soda and magnesite deposits.
The Lake’s warm water is an ideal breeding ground for Rift Valley Flamingos. The Gelai volcano ( 9652feet[2942m]) is at lake’s south-eastern edge. Visit Ngaresero waterfall which descends from the Nguruman escarpment west of Lake Natron.

Day 11: Explore Lake Natron (Trekking Oldonyo Lengai)
Just before midnight you will trek. Escorted by experienced Maasai guide, your climb will take 5 to 6 hours whereby you will reach the summit in time to witness the amazing sunrise asit illuminates the great Rift Valley. After exploring the peak you will head back down to the camp in time to rest and relax.

Day 12: Lake Natron to Arusha
After your breakfast, drive to Arusha and have a picnic lunch en-route. You have the option to go shopping or have the afternoon leisure at your hotel.

Day 13: After breakfast transfer to Arusha airstrip by flight ( coastal Aviation ) depart from Arusha and arrive in Dar Es Salaam for your further arrangements.
